Installing a nuc from Singing Cedars - we found the queen!
We found the queen on the 3rd frame - see if you can spot her. She has a very long body, all black because she's a Russian.

2011...??
First off - has anyone else let their VBA membership expire? I am useless without a bill mailed to me, so in case you've forgotten like I have, here's the place to re-pony up: vermont beekeepers association membership page.
In other news, I heard from Bill Mares that Franklin County has established their own Beekeeping Club, and of course we are all welcome to join in the fun. Mikewillard@comcast.net for more info.
And then lastly - I'm wondering who is up for more workshops this year? If it's worth a go, I am willing to try to arrange some presenters - I would happily contact Russ Aceto again from CVU Highschool, as I thought he was fantastic.
